A History of Violence

In the last decades the fortunes of Iraqi Kurdistan have ebbed and flowed. The region went from extreme privation to massive oil wealth and then to economic and cultural stagnation. This project is an attempt to tie some elements of modern-day Kurdistan to the history of extreme violence that lies behind it.
